Blue Screen Error with Cursor

Most users Report the System effected with a Blue Screen after upgrading to Windows 10 or install upgrade Display Driver and problem with sign in to the computer

A Black Screen with or without a cursor mostly causes due to incompatible display driver, corrupted system files, OS bugs in Windows 10 fall creators update etc.

Always use Safe Mode, run system file checker tool.

Solutions of Blue Screen Error with Cursor

Start Explorer

  • First open task manager
  • Pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del or Ctrl + Shift + Esc
  • On task manager click on file
  • Run new task
  • Type exe
  • Use Checkmark on Create task with Administrative privileges
  • And click OK
  • Start the Stuck Windows Explorer for the normal screen

  • Start windows Explorer from Task manager

Remove External Devices

  • Remove all the external devices, like Printer, Scanner, External HDD
  • Do not remove the keyboard & mouse
  • Also remove the External Graphic Card

Power Reset Laptop/ Desktop

  • Press the power button to shut down completely
  • Remove the battery
  • Now press and hold the power button for 30 second
  • .Please attach the Battery again and start the windows again.

For Desktop Users

  • Remove all external devices, power code and vga cable
  • Press and hold the Power button
  • Then attach the power cable, vga cable, keyboard & mouse

Startup Repair

  • Boot windows from an installation media
  • Click on Startup repair option to scan and fix the error

Disable Fast Startup

  • Open Control panel
  • View “Small icons”
  • Click Power Options
  • Next click on Choose
  • Click on Change settings
  • Under Shutdown settings
  • Uncheck Turn on fast startup
  • Then click Save changes

 

Update / Roll Back Graphics Driver

Update Display Driver

  • Press Win + R
  • Type msc
  • Hit the enter key
  • Right-click on the graphics card
  • Tick mark on delete the driver software
  • Confirm by click on uninstall

Uninstall Graphic Driver

  • Restart your PC
  • Open device manager
  • Right click
  • Select Update driver
  • Select browse my computer
  • Click on have disk
  • Click browse
  • Set the Driver
  • Click next

Roll Back Graphics Driver

  • Open Device manager
  • Right click on windows 10 start menu
  • Select device manager. expand display driver
  • Right click on Installed display driver
  • Then Select properties
  • Move to Driver Tab
  • Roll Back Driver option
  • Click on
  • Select the reason
  • And click next

Uninstall Recently Installed Programs or Updates

Also, you can try uninstalling the programs or Windows Updates you’ve installed recently. May be the new programs/updates are not compatible with Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, and as a result, you get stuck on the black screen with cursor frequently.

To uninstall recently installed applications Again start windows into safe mode, Open Control panel -> small icon view click on programs and features and select the application and click uninstall. To remove recent updates click on view installed updates, Right click and uninstall recent updates.

 

View Installed Updates

HKEY_Local_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

  • Double-click the value
  • Make sure the Value data is exe is  not changed it to explorer.exe
  • Click ok
  • Close Windows registry and Restart windows
